Rock Climber and Expectant Father Dies After Fatal Slip

A rock climber and expectant father recently died in a tragic accident while climbing Castle Rock in Big Bear, California. The 33-year-old’s pregnant wife was there watching, making the incident all the more terrible. According to local reports, Andrew “Andy” Ferrarone, his wife, and another couple were climbing at Castle Rock when Andy slipped and fell about 20 feet, suffering a critical head injury. Ferrarone had at least a decade’s worth of climbing experience.
