Imagine being out in mountain lion country and seeing one of these wild cats race toward you at predatory speed, and then fly right past you. Phew, close call. Two women had this experience, likely while they were out hunting, and the video they captured of the mountain lion flying past them is pretty bad*ss.

Adeline Richardson and Danielle Halverson shared the footage to Instagram last weekend, and many people chimed in saying it really shows off the mountain lion’s agility and speed as it races through a tangle of bare branches and snow-covered terrain. The women don’t provide context about their location or what they were doing when they had this encounter, but their profiles suggest they are hunters.
