A trail cam survived an intense blaze that recently burned through part of Nebraska, and the photos it took of the fire are intense. When Jordan Adams found his charred trail camera, he was surprised to found it still working. What he found on the SD card inside was what the North Platte Post calls “remarkable.”

“These images come from inside the Cottonwood Fire burn area in Nebraska,” wrote North Platte Post in a Facebook post sharing the photos. “Jordan Adams says a non-cellular trail camera on the property went through the wildfire and was left completely melted. When he returned to check the site, he brought the damaged camera home and carefully peeled it apart—discovering the SD card inside was still perfectly intact.”
