A viral video from a whale-watching trip has at least 9 million people laughing, shaking their heads, or maybe a little bit of both. Snejana Andreeva recently shared hilarious footage she took from her whale watch, showing a phantom whale that turned out to be nothing more than a tarp floating in the ocean. The tarp had everyone fooled, including the captain of the boat.

At the beginning of the video, everyone’s excited to get closer to the “whale.” The crowd oohs and aahs—they’re totally convinced. As the mystery animal floats closer to the boat, some people think they’re seeing a mola mola. Then, they all realize it’s a tarp.
