WATCH: This Photographer Filmed the Cutest Creature in Alaska

Instagram user Sergius Hanna came across a cute creature hunting for fish in coastal Alaska, and the footage is simply adorable.

Short-tailed weasels, also known as the ermine, measure just 7-13 inches (17-33 cm), but these crafty creatures can hunt fish, rabbits, and even snowshoe hares. They live in a wide range of habitats, but they prefer places close to water with lots of small mammals to hunt.

Sergius, a nature photographer from Alaska, spotted this one on Kodiak Island, a large island off the south coast of the state. It’s one of Alaska’s main fishing ports, but it has an incredibly diverse landscape, which makes it a popular destination for camping and wildlife watching.

The reel, which has been viewed 84 million times, features beautiful photographs of the weasel taken with a Nikon Z6ii and a Nikon Z (180-600 mm) lens. Sergius also captures some video footage of the white weasel scurrying between the rocks. The weasel is a striking sight to see amongst lots of dark-colored pebbles. It has a long neck, long body, and fluffy white fur. As one commenter notes, the weasel is “small, cute, and dangerous.”

In the summer, these weasels have brown coats with white feet and underside, but they become entirely white when temperatures cool down and it’s time to don their winter coats.

Sergius has shared some amazing wildlife photography shots on his Instagram—from a humpback whale to a red fox.
