What’s Your Ranger Name? Mine’s ‘Eagle Eye McGee’ (Ha!)

Eagle Eye McGee, reporting for duty. The National Park Service (NPS) recently shared a fun activity on Instagram in which followers can create their very own personal “ranger name” by combining two names from two columns based on their birth month and the second number of their birthday’s date. (That will make more sense once you see the graphic.)

The NPS also used its entertaining post, which garnered tons of likes and comments, to educate its audience about the role park rangers play in the nation’s national parks.

“Speaking of rangers, the workforce in national parks consists of a diverse range of roles that contribute to the overall management, preservation, and visitor experience,” NPS wrote in its Instagram post. “Wearing the iconic flat hat, rangers often serve as ambassadors for parks, engaging with visitors through educational programs, guided hikes, and interpretive talks, fostering a connection between people, nature, and history. Others may focus on law enforcement and emergency services.”

Figure out your very own ranger name here (I just hope someone out there ends up with Parkie McParkface):
