You know when you’re talking to someone who has a piece of food stuck in his or her teeth, and you have a hard time listening because you’re just thinking about how you can tell the person without being awkward? Here’s the owl version of this situation. A burrowing owl got a twig stuck in its wing but didn’t notice . . . but its pals definitely noticed, and they didn’t know what to make of it.
