Maddy Hernandez took her family to an adventure park in Rincon, Costa Rica, featuring thermal pools, mud baths, a zip line, and a “jungle water slide.” It was the latter attraction that ended up creating lasting memories for the family—especially for Hernandez’s young son. The boy was going down the slide in an inner tube when, suddenly, he came upon a large snake, and the two slid down the rest of the way together. The boy’s reaction as he exited the slide showed exactly how he felt about all of that.

“We had so much fun at @rinconthermals! While it was scary in the moment, the team was so professional and considerate of our experience,” wrote Hernandez in her Instagram post sharing the funny video. “They even tried to edit the snake out for my son so he wasn’t traumatized looking back but I wanted the originals. My kids loved it and we even went back for seconds! So fun and a great story to tell.”
