Janie Robyck recently shared a wild rescue on social media. Her dad collided with a hawk while driving in his truck in Georgia, and the hawk survived, but it was stuck in the truck’s grill. Robyck’s dad and husband worked together to loosen the grill, while Robyck helped the hawk up and out using the handle of a broom. The hawk needed some time to recover, but according to her latest update, she’s seen it since the rescue in the trees surrounding her home.

Robyck adds that though the family called local wildlife authorities, no one was able to come get the bird. Thankfully, the three family members were able to think fast and get the hawk free. They did their best for the bird, and it seems to have paid off.
