If you’re a fan of skiing, you don’t have to let the summer months bring you down. Some ski resorts, like the Mont-Tremblant Resort, are offering summer skiing.
Located north of Montreal, Quebec, the resort has installed a synthetic sliding surface that gives skiers the feeling of fresh powder.
The synthetic padding resembles an astroturf and is in place on the resort’s beginner hills. The idea is to give new skiers or snowboarders a chance to learn in the offseason. They also hope some slightly experienced winter fans will use the opportunity to improve their skills.
The resort suggests wearing pants and long sleeves, but other than that, visitors can rent skis, boots, poles, and helmets to get them going.
Summer skiing is open daily until September 4. After that, summer skiing will continue on the weekend until October 15, before making way for some actual snow.
Would you give it a try?
