Tourists Encounter Bear on Bridge in Glacier National Park (Video)

Several visitors to northern Montana’s Glacier National Park came face to face with a black bear as it attempted to cross a bridge. Footage of the encounter is going viral online, with many people criticizing a woman in the video for staying on the bridge to film.

Nat Harrington took the video and shared it to TikTok. Harrington appears to be at the opposite end of the bridge from the bear. A different woman is quite close to the bear, and she doesn’t attempt to back away from the bear. Instead, she glues herself to the side of the bridge, as if giving the bear the right of way. She has her phone out, filming.

Thankfully, the bear was not aggressive. It stopped to check out the woman on the bridge, but noise from the other visitors encouraged it to go back the way it came.
