Have you ever caught your reflection in passing and not loved it? Most of us can relate to a young puma (also called a mountain lion or a cougar) who saw its reflection in some water and didn’t like it at all. In fact, it appears the puma thought there was another puma hiding in the water, judging by its confused, defensive behavior.

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) shared the video on social media, providing context for the funny video and offering up a conservation message as well.
“Spooked by its own reflection,” wrote WCS in its Instagram post sharing the video. “This is an artificial watering hole in the Guatemalan jungle. As climate-induced droughts intensify, these have been placed to provide critical relief to wildlife in need. Like this young puma.”
