A video circulating online a year after someone originally posted it to Reddit is both terrifying and confusing. It shows an absolutely massive python snake writhing around in a covered barn with a rope around its neck. The python has a large bulge in its body, and that bulge is apparently a cow that the snake had just eaten. That’s right, a cow.

Though the Reddit user doesn’t claim the python has eaten a cow in the original post, several news sources picked up the video, saying a farmer in India found the snake right after it consumed his livestock. Then, the farmer reportedly lassoed the snake in an attempt to get it out of the barn. (We’re not sure how that worked out, and we really would have loved a part two to this video.)
Are we buying this story? Did that python eat a cow? How long did it take? We have so many questions.

While there’s no proof that the python in the video above actually did eat a cow before the camera started rolling, we do know that this is possible. Turns out, there are other videos of pythons in the act of cow-eating.
