Barbie’s Beach Bungalow
Let’s start with this bright pink beach cottage on the coast of North Carolina. The spot is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and, of course, the beach. The city of Carolina Beach is known as one of the better East Coast surfing destinations. The Barbie aesthetic continues in the house with an oversized pink couch.
Barbie Gets Tropical
If you’re looking to get to the white sand beaches of Puerto Rico, here’s another destination. This pink house is off the east coast of the main island of Puerto Rico on Vieques. The smaller and quieter island has secluded beaches and is known for water with a blue-green glow due to microorganisms. Plus, wild horses are known to run around in the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge.
Barbie’s Giant Beach House (that only your friend could afford)
We all had that one friend who had the Barbie mansion or the 3-foot-tall Star Wars AT-AT. This house is for them. Located on Jost Van Dyke Island in the British Virgin Islands, the home sits on the beach and has a private swimming pool. Visitors to the island can hike to Bubbly Pool, a naturally foaming sea pool.
Barbie in the Sunshine State
Let’s be honest; most giant pink houses are located near a beach. There’s something about the salty air and a home that looks like saltwater taffy. This next house is in West Palm Beach, Florida. A short drive will get you to the beach on Palm Beach Island. For some wildlife, you can check out Manatee Lagoon, a harbor with extra warm water known as a gathering place for manatees.
Barbie Focuses on History
Charleston, South Carolina is known for the extreme measures it takes to preserve history. The city with cobblestone streets and row houses is a popular tourist destination, and this home lets you stay close to the heart of it all. From the home’s balcony, you can see plenty of nearby highly rated restaurants, and there are plenty of other activities in this very walkable city.
Barbie Heads to the Mountains
Finding a pink house in the mountains can be a struggle, but we saw at least two destinations. The first is in Asheville, North Carolina. This home is not far from the Biltmore Estate and is a quick drive onto the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest, where you can find hundreds of miles of hiking trails and waterfalls.
Barbie’s Weekend in the Ozarks
There’s also this pink house in the Missouri Ozarks for a mix of the mountains and waterfront. Located on a lake, it’s also a short drive to Lake of the Ozarks State Park, which has options for swimming, boating, and hiking. The Ozarks are also home to plenty of miles of mountain bike trails.
