Zip S’Morezy Roasting Log: Review

Every one loves S’mores. It’s a campfire treat that is guaranteed to put a smile on your child’s face regardless of how, when or where the S’more happens. A campfire is hands down the best way to have a S’more. I’m not going to argue with you on that one. However, there are times when getting everything together for a fire isn’t convenient. Maybe the firewood in the backyard is wet from yesterday’s storm. Maybe you don’t even have any firewood on hand. Or maybe you just want to light a match and have a S’more.

The Zip S’Morezy Roasting Log is the easiest way I’ve ever seen to make a S’more. All you do is light the bag and get your ingredients ready. I’ll admit it – I wondered if it would affect the taste of my precious, perfectly toasted marshmallow. I’ve used these kinds of products in the past and cooking over them isn’t something I would ever have considered. It’s only wax and wood though, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I lit the bag, kicked back,  and waited for the recommended 15 minutes.

The verdict?

I honestly couldn’t detect any unexpected flavor at all. We made five different kinds of S’mores and all of them were delicious. The Zip S’morezy Roasting Log also burns for 90 minutes so there will be plenty of time for every one to roast up a few marshmallows. It burns clean too, so you’re not playing that game where the smoke follows you everywhere you go. There just isn’t that much smoke to begin with. Even if you usually have wood fires at home it’s nice to have a quick option like this so can whip up some S’mores with zero fuss. It’s a unique product, and one that I had a lot of fun using.
